Sports in Costa Rica
Is there any limit to the number of sports in Costa Rica? This land is perfect for any type of outdoor activity that you wish to engage in, but here is a more concise list of those fun activities.
Since this country is largely surrounded by water, most of the sports in Costa Rica are water based. However, this does not mean that there aren’t plenty of other activities to keep those land dwellers occupied. No matter what you decide to do, if you want a holiday that consists of many different activities, make sure to check with your resort (not all resorts offer lots of things to do!). To begin, let’s talk about those things that can be done in the water.
White water rafting, surfing, fishing, kayaking, diving, sailing, wind surfing, and snorkelling are just a few of the things offered on nearly every main beach. In order to take part in any one of these things, simply head to a beach kiosk and ask about lessons and rates. Most of the time, these kiosks are competitive, so make sure to check around for the best possible price. If you have never done a particular activity before, you may want to sign up for a lesson or two... you never know when you may need a bit of help! Other than those great water sports, there are many land activities that are sure to please travelers of any age.
Golf, horseback riding, tennis, soccer, and polo are just a few things that can be found at nearly every resort. In fact, this country boasts some of the best golf courses around. Thanks to the amazing wildlife and lush tropical plants, golfing in this part of the world will be like no other golf trip you have ever experienced. Many are worried that heading off for a beach vacation means gaining a lot of weight, though this couldn’t be further from the truth. Sports in Costa Rica are nearly everywhere you look, all you have to do is give them a try.
If there is something that you’ve always wanted to do, why not try it while you are on vacation? With sandy beaches covering nearly every inch of this land, there is no better place on earth to try your luck at some activity – who knows, you just may be good at it!
Taking part in the many sports in Costa Rica is a fantastic way to really enjoy your vacation. While the beach is nice, trying out things that you have never done before is an even better way to enjoy life.
