Things to do in Costa Rica

While you are on vacation, you will find that there is no shortage of things to do in Costa Rica. Still, while you are planning your trip, here are some things that you should make time to take part in.

Most of the things to do in Costa Rica are for those with high energy levels (unless, of course, you simply want to lie on the beach all day long). Therefore, this destination is perfect for those tourists that want to relax and unwind, but want to play all day long too. You can think of this section of the world as one gigantic playground for adults filled with lush sands and deep blue waters. In short, this country is nothing less than the ultimate paradise.

Some of the activities not to be missed include: sky diving, bungee jumping, horseback riding, golf, fishing, scuba diving, cliff climbing, ocean kayaking, white water rafting, and surfing. Of course, there are many more sports to select from, but these are the main ones that all tourists seem to enjoy. If you are more into history, this country has plenty of that too. Some fantastic day trips include the Arenal Volcano National Park; Monteverde; Manuel Antonio, Tortuguero; Canopy Tree Tours; Lankester Gardens, Birdwatching; Cahuita; Corcovado; and many, many, more.

Whatever you do, do not miss out on your chance to visit the rainforest. No matter how you get there, make sure that you bring a guide with you (it can be difficult to find your way through this tangle of vines!). Also, be sure to visit all of the gorgeous national parks and volcano sites while you are there. As you can clearly see, there are millions of things to do in Costa Rica. Oddly enough, most visitors never even see ¼ of these sites.

Most people head to tropical destinations in search of one thing: a sunny spot to pitch their towel. While this is a fine way to relax, this country has so much to offer that is often never even attempted. How does flying through the rain forest like Tarzan sound? What about heading out into the ocean to spot your very first roosterfish? There is so much to do, it would be a shame to miss out on all of these wonderful things.

If you are planning a trip to this colourful country, make sure to book some time to try out a few of the things to do in Costa Rica. Whether you choose sports or nature hikes, this country has a lot to offer the adventurous tourist.
